M.Y Northern Escape Europe Itinerary

The South of France and the Amalfi Coast are two of the most iconic cruising destinations for good reason – both are blessed with azure seas, dramatic coastlines, lush landscapes, and of course, world class food and wine. Combine them over two glorious weeks, and you have a yacht getaway that bucket lists are made of.

Here’s four reasons why it’s the right way to holiday in Europe this season:

M.Y Northern Escape Europe Itinerary

All-in-one itinerary

Your two-week sojourn starts in Nice, France, meandering along the most scenic stretches of the Côte d’Azur coastline for a few days before hopping across to Corsica and on towards the Amalfi Coast. Whether you want to wander the quiet streets of a small seaside village or make a beeline to the big boutiques in Cannes, on land you’ll be kept busy and at sea, there’s private coves, watersports and calm sunsets to enjoy.

Bonifacio, Corsica

Sea first, then sightsee

Yes, these are arguably Europe’s most famous coastlines, and for good reason, but aboard a yacht, you’re sequestered away from the sightseeing crowds for most of the day. Take in the likes of Capri, Ischia and Amalfi by sea, before the team on board zip you into town for a taste of the trattorias, beach bars and boutiques.

Positano, Amalfi

Take the scenic route

Leaving the bright lights of Southern France, you’ll stop for lunch at the quiet Porquerolles Islands before arriving at Corsica’s rugged coastline. Dotted with coves just perfect for private swims, Corsica is made for long lazy afternoons where you’ll anchor offshore and have the sea to yourself. Small coastal towns like Girolata, Corsica and the Maddalena Islands, Sardinia make perfect stops for lunch or dinner as you cruise through The Strait of Bonifacio before pushing through the Italian shores.

Explore the regions one dish at a time

Wining and dining go hand in hand with any European holiday and the same goes for Morris Nautical Europe itineraries. The team on board will keep you well fed with fresh local produce – perhaps a caprese salad and charcuterie, or a seafood bouillabaisse and salad Nicoise. Then there’s French rosé, served chilled in the heat of the afternoon, or a glass of Champagne as the sun sets. Stops in towns to dine at seaside restaurants are also on the menu if that’s your preference. Stroll through the quiet streets for a morning espresso and a fresh, crumbling pastry before returning to the yacht for a day of swimming.

Nice, France

Whether you’re on board to chill out or take every day as a big adventure on the Great Barrier Reef, the crew will ensure your time aboard any of the Morris Nautical vessels is just right for you.
